Turvaline pistikupesakiht (SSL) sertifikaadid on tasuta

On üsna hämmastav, et mõned (paljud?) hostimisettevõtted nõuavad endiselt Secure Sockets Layeri eest tasu (SSL) tunnistused, whereas those are now free:

• kas WHM/cPaneliga, kasutades Let’s Encrypt (ja uuendamine on tasuta & automaatne!)
• or using a third party like SSL For Free.

The word needs to go out that SSL is not an expense any more. Some certificates show a green bar in the browser (called “EV” SSL for “Extended Validation”) which means that the legal existence of the company is double checked (by a human). Those EV SSL are completely worthless: they do not improve the encryption. Consider this: 10 big IT companies have been reviewed and none of them are using EV SSL!
