Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) sertifikāti ir bezmaksas

Tas ir diezgan pārsteidzoši, ka daži (daudzi?) hostinga uzņēmumi joprojām iekasē maksu par Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) sertifikāti, whereas those are now free:

• vai nu ar WHM/cPanel, izmantojot Let’s Encrypt (un atjaunošana ir bezmaksas & automātiski!)
• or using a third party like SSL For Free.

The word needs to go out that SSL is not an expense any more. Some certificates show a green bar in the browser (sauca “EV” SSL for “Extended Validation”) which means that the legal existence of the company is double checked (by a human). Those EV SSL are completely worthless: they do not improve the encryption. Apsveriet šo: 10 big IT companies have been reviewed and none of them are using EV SSL!
