Plast varnih vtičnic (SSL) certifikati so brezplačni

Prav neverjetno je, da nekateri (veliko?) gostiteljska podjetja še vedno zaračunavajo plast varnih vtičnic (SSL) potrdila, whereas those are now free:

• bodisi z WHM/cPanel z uporabo Let’s Encrypt (in obnova sta brezplačni & samodejno!)
• or using a third party like SSL For Free.

The word needs to go out that SSL is not an expense any more. Some certificates show a green bar in the browser (poklical “EV” SSL for “Extended Validation”) which means that the legal existence of the company is double checked (by a human). Those EV SSL are completely worthless: they do not improve the encryption. Consider this: 10 big IT companies have been reviewed and none of them are using EV SSL!

Conclusion: if you really want to invest for your business it will be better to spend your money towards Get Proper Hosting™.
