新的图像格式: WebP

A customer just deployed the new image format: WebP. 很遗憾: it is not supported by many browsers (截至今日), including the Apple desktops & devices using Safari.

While the savings of file size is more than 20% against TinyPNG, the backward compatibility is really more important. So we will have have to wait some more years before WebP is widely adopted. 花了 10 years for PNG to be included in Windows and other Operating Sytems (操作系统), so adoption might not be before 2020 (at least).
