Υπάρχουν 1,578 τομείς ανώτατου επιπέδου, εκ των οποίων 312 είναι κωδικός χώρας. Μέσα σε αυτά 312 κωδικούς χωρών, 19 of them are considered generic by Google:

So you could register a domain name in those “χωρών” και δεν be attached to the said country.
