Het aantal topleveldomeinen blijft jaar na jaar groeien.
Er is 1,578 Domeinen op het hoogste niveau, waarvan 312 zijn landcode. Binnen die 312 Landcodes, 19 of them are considered generic by Google:

- .cc
- .cd
- .co
- .dj

- .io
- .la
- .me
- .ms
- .nu
- .sc
- .sr

- .tv

- .ws
So you could register a domain name in those “countries” en not be attached to the said country.
It now leaves (1,578 – 312 =) 1,266 more times to find the available domain name of your dream! Most extensions do not have any restrictions to register.
Echter: one must choose carefully.
SpamAssassin considers some extensions has a higher score in spam ranking, those extensions are:
