From opportunity to calamity

Effective 5 Marts 2026, the .AI registry is increasing standard pricing from US$140.00 to US$160.00 ! Let’s comment both sides of this trade:

• The government of Anguilla thinks it can milk a cow forever, but as the price increases the demand goes lower.
• Customers/Companies registering an .AI domain (for a supposed “brand”) at this price level is insanity at its peak, they deserved to be scammed by the Anguillan government.

For your information, one of the biggest company is using a .COM: openai.com … Just end your domain with “ai” or “-ai“. This is how you save US$150/year on a domain (US$1,500 for 10 Gadiem – assuming the price will not increase). With this saving maybe do something useful: register your trademark (the average global fee is US$250~ for 10 Gadiem!).
